How upload your podcast to iTunes and other podcasting aggregators using Blogger and Feedburner.
Step 1: Publish a post with Blogger.
The title of your post will need to be click able and point to the audio/video file. You can leave show notes, pictures and so forth. In the actual post, link the file as well
Check out my podcast from this past weekend.
Important: Make sure your podcast file URL does not include any spaces (or encode each space in the original filename with the %20 combination). For example
http://www.yourhost.com/directory/youraudiofile.mp3
http://www.yourhost.com/directory/your%20audio%20file.mp3
Step 2: Set Up your feed.
Setting up a feed with Feedburner is quite simple. With blogger you are provided a ATOM XML feed.
In the settings portion of blogger click on the site feed tab and you will find you XML feed (http://yourblog.blogspot.com/atom.xml). Next cut and paste that XML feed to Feedburner and make sure the “I am a podcaster box” is checked. From there Feedburner will walk you through setting up a “Smartcast”
Step 3: Ping Feedburner
This is an extra step, but it will update Feedburner immediately simple click here and enter either your URL or XML feed. I do both just to make sure.
Step4: Summit to iTunes
In the podcasting section of iTunes find the “summit a Podcast” icon and add your podcast.
