Hello everyone.  I just thought I would post that I have started a blogger tips and tricks blog.  I have received a ton of feedback from people about the evolution of the raysinboisewebblog.  So if you have thought it would be too hard to start a blog I have set up a blog to help you on your way.  So check it out.

RIAA Loses battle against Mother of 13 year old file sharer

A judge has made it impossible for the RIAA to sue the Mother of a 13 year old file sharer, saying that the mother cannot be held liable for what her daughter shares. Finally some justice for all the people the RIAA has bullied into settling.

Got to love this. Somebody stood up to the RIAA and won. Power to the people.

Audio Blog Cast #10 and Notes

Family News:

• Got a new microphone to record the audio blog.

• Re-Installed and but took Eraser to the harddrive.

• Stephanie’s Parents came up for a visit this past Labor Day weekend. Jessica got spoiled of course.

• Stephanie going to school, also just got a new promotion to the personal banking side of things. Same old same old for me, applied for some Managerial jobs in Pocatello.

• New Battery for the Laptop, and with that the laptop is back to the state it was in before the Pepsi incident with Jessica.

News:

• There are new vidcasts of subSystm, FTS (From The Shadows), and Command-n. Also the podcasts I listen to: TWIT, Diggnation, Techphile, Security Now, and Rootsmart.

• Added an Icon to the web address. The website that I used to create it is Favicon. I saw this on Command-n a few weeks back.

• Boise State not doing to well. Idaho State almost upsets the University of Kentucky. Jared Zabranski quoted in the Arbiter (BSU school Newspaper) as to having a “full body cramp.” The Boise State vs. Bowling Green September 21st is on ESPN starting around 6 pm MST.

Geek To Me:

• Check out the screen-shot from a hack of Business Week’s Tech Poll. The poll was about what is the best tech website. Eventually through the poll some people hacked it in favor of Digg.

• The web site of this week is Toast.net. There is new version of Firefox, 1.5. Also Firefox had an exploit this week, but I fix is in works.

• I tested a little more with Internet Explorer 7 beta. I like the Windows XP anti phishing feature.

• FTS had a nice piece from Defcon. People are buying ATM’s off Ebay and reprogramming them to still your information from the ATM card.
